It is the custom in our church for people being baptized to designate 2-4 people who will participate in the baptismal service. They will make vows to support the one being baptized in learning about the Christian faith and remind the baptized that they are God's beloved child, created in the holy image of God and created for goodness and hope in God's world. We encourage you to pick sponsors that are active participants in the Christian faith.
