Visit Our Partners in Tanzania
For many years, Gustavus Adolphus has been blessed by a partnership with two Lutheran congregations in Iringa, Tanzania: Kipenzelo and Igangidung’u. Through worship, conversation, and shared experiences, we learn from one another and grow together in faith. Members of our congregation have the opportunity to visit our partners in Tanzania and experience firsthand the vibrant and growing Lutheran church there. Learn more about Bega Kwa Bega here.
Student Scholarships
Education creates opportunities for individuals, families, and communities to flourish. Through our partnership in Tanzania, we support secondary school scholarships for students from our partner congregations. These scholarships are one way we live out our commitment to walking alongside our global partners and investing in the gifts and potential of the next generation.
ELCA World Hunger
We join Lutherans across the country in supporting ELCA World Hunger, a ministry that works to address the root causes of hunger and poverty around the world. Through programs such as clean water initiatives, microloans, agricultural development, disaster response, and advocacy efforts we participate in meaningful solutions that help create a more just world where all people can thrive.
